We are heading up to YC (Youth Conference) 2009 in Edmonton on May 22-24 and have 10 pretty excited people. Pray for the leaders and drivers that they will get some rest on this crazy, awesome, inspiring weekend.

Wow! This summer has been very, very busy and I'm sorry that I let VulcanYouth.com slide. I'm back though and am posting up devos. Check out "BensBlog" for the latest devo. Rock Solid #2 Announced!!!

I know that many of you local to Vulcan Alberta came to the first Rock Solid event we hosted back in March, and we are ready and ripped to host Rock Solid #2. This event is a non-denominational event for youth to come and have some fun, food, and enjoy the evening. We have a band coming by the name of "Traced Image", and while you probably haven't heard of them before, after RS2, you won't be able to stop talking about them. These guys are awesome!!!
This year we are giving away an even better, cooler prize that a GameBoy Advance SP - the prize is the YP-Z5 Photo/Music player from Samsung. This player is very much like an iPod nano, only it's way better. Take a look at the poster below and keep an eye out for it around Vulcan and surrounding area.

On our last Youth Group event, we went to the Vulcan Public Pool and had a bit of fun. By the end of the night we had about 18 people in the pool and had a great time. . . at least I did until I found the bottom of the pool with my head. . .
We've updated the gallery to include the pictures from this last event, and yes we even have a picture of the newly-engaged-to-be-married Reanne Grant. Sorry boys, she's officially taken by a young man by the name of Tim. Enjoy the gallery!

GNO Fun

Last nigth we did some GNO, and while I didn't have a real camera handy, I did have my camera phone. Because the weather was bad, we didn't have many people show up, but there were a few hardy guys and we went fishing. It wasn't so bad as we caught a couple and had one kind older guy give us another. It was good times.
