Newsflash
We are heading up to YC (Youth Conference) 2009 in Edmonton on May 22-24 and have 10 pretty excited people.  Pray for the leaders and drivers that they will get some rest on this crazy, awesome, inspiring weekend.

After The Explosion

Youth Explosion 2005 in Vulcan was incredible.  Maybe I'm easily impressed because I haven't been to YE before, but I have to say God was at work in a big way over the weekend.  I had a chance to meet and talk with the band Absolute, as well as the speaker Storm Moore.  These guys all have a heart for God and have dedicated their lives to serve Him.

We've added some pictures to the gallery of the weekend.  Some are of kids from our Youth Group and others are not.  It was a good time.

As leaders we want you all to know that we are praying for you beyond this past weekend.  For several kids in our youth group - this weekend was the start of new life in Christ as they gave their lives to God.  This was awesome and exciting to see what God's going to do with His new children.  Keep these kids and each other in prayer as they are facing tough decisions every day.

Youth Explosion Weekend!

This weekend Youth Explosion 2005 is going on in Vulcan Alberta. There will be many people there from out of town and we are looking for God to do a great work in kids lives. If you read this, pray that God’s Will is done this weekend and that the power of the Holy Spirit makes a difference in lives that will extend beyond the weekend.

I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved with the organization of this event, and to those that support it - making the weekend free for all who attend.

Under The Sea

In a move that was a little extreme in some ways, last Youth Group had a theme night - Under The Sea.  While this seems harmless enough, there was a twist that involved fish. . . and water . . . and bobbing for fish.  Out of the six fish that started the night, only three remained as the others were consumed by hungry kids.

Take a look in the gallery and see some of the kids as well as the fearless Reanne, and "Coral" themed Ben pull out the stops and bob for fish.  Not that yummy, but tastes like chicken in the gallery.

Night At The Movies

Last night at Youth Group we had a night at the movies.  Many thanks goes out to Reane for bringing 15lbs of popcorn and the juice for the evening.  We watched the original "Left Behind" movie and had a lot of questions to answer after the movie was over.  This movie has blessed me and caused me to ask questions myself, and it was great to see it do the same for the youth.

What made the evening extra special and sad was that one of our faithful attenders, Lisa, is moving away to Medicine Hat.  Her dad is being transfered for work and we'll miss her more than she knows.  We had a time of prayer for Lisa that God will use her and help her find some good friends.

We love you Lisa!
